I have about 80 thousand us sved up and would like to get some advice on how to start bringing in passive income of around 4-5k a month. Ive been looking really hard at real estate as well. If anyone with any advice could help me get a good or different perspective on this it would be greatly appreciated. I figure that I would be happy retiring with about 4-5 a month and could work at the same time to pay my kids way through college.
It might be better to ask what is the best ways to invest to start some incoming passive income.
I am stuck in a "rut" of working and paying bills.
I know there is a better way, but I haven’t found it yet.
I have very little money to invest at this time, but would like to start somewhere. I have always heard that real estate is the way to go, but I don’t believe I have that kind of "ching" and I am not handy (so being a landlord does not appeal to me). Is there anything BESIDES real estate that I can invest in that will give me PASSIVE INCOME?
Note: I do not rent, but I have a mortgage payment (so I don’t necessarily "own" either…do I?)
What are my options?
Do the rich generally inherit it all? Are they all vets of sucessfully employed get-rich-quick schemes? Did they make money through businesses? Real-estate? Are they just tight with their money and save everything? Are they mostly sucessful sports stars? I hear so many stories of wealthy people, but I wonder how the average wealthy guy got there?
